Until I discovered my own image

19 May 2019

It has been a way to find who I really am or who I want to become. These past two years have been one of great personal growth!… Why? Well, because for the first time I recognized the need to make fundamental changes in my life. I understood the importance of giving myself more value and seeing all the positive things in me. I understood and strengthened the importance of creating protective barriers in my life.

Also, I spent a lot of time understanding how my childhood influenced my development and personality. As a mental health therapist and spiritual coach, I signed up for any Trauma and Resilience related training… and these courses and personal exercises led me to understand how my family system shaped my identity.

When I think about my image, I discover that I have the power to create my own image and concept of myself. In addition, my family environment, the comments from others influence the concept I created of my own image, which in childhood was created by other family members. Since I become aware of this, I begin to work hard to honor who I am and who I want to be.

Of course, it has not been an easy process due to the rules and values that humanity and society have passed down to us generation after generation. But, today I feel more free, with more control of my thoughts, feelings and actions.

So my invitation is for you to be open for your personal development, discover your healthy image and also work hard to shape any childhood situation that has marked you and is not allowing you to be the person you want to be!
